Who Is The Guy Behind 2nd Mile Marketing?

Pat McDaniel has quite a diverse background.  He certainly didn’t draw it up like this when he started.

For several years he was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), working at Ernst and Young, including passing the demanding CPA exam.  Only one problem:  he discovered pretty quickly that this profession was not for him.  That is nice way to say he couldn't stand it.

What he did have a passion for was Christian ministry.  He decided to pursue a graduate degree at a respected seminary, and was ordained as a pastor.  He served in several churches from Florida to California for 14 years.  Unfortunately, for the last four years in ministry, he and his family experienced some extremely trying circumstances in churches where they served.  These challenges took a toll on them, leading them to conclude it was time to take a break from ministry.

Pat and his family decided to move back into the business world, where Pat worked in corporate America for 7 years.  During this time, Pat began to experiment with using the internet to market himself and his company.

Pat became a student of many of the brightest minds in Marketing, and in particular internet marketing.  He learned from the likes of Perry Marshall, Glenn Livingston, Rich Schefren, David Bullock, and others.  He used what he learned in his corporate job, but he never felt he could fully “stretch his legs” and run with all that he was learning.

Pat began to help a friend with the marketing of his studio recording business and realized he was very good at this game.  He then offered his services to local businesses (pest control, roofers, painters, plumbers, etc.) where he saw great results helping these businesses obtain more customers, better (higher margin) customers, and establish a comprehensive strategy to grow their business.

Pat now works with a variety of clients, including psychologists, chiropractors, accountants, professional services/consultants, service contractors, high tech equipment companies, and more.  His clients are found from coast to coast and Canada.

Pat absolutely loves helping small-medium sized businesses grow, becoming a hero to many.  Read here to learn about what drives Pat to work so hard, to “go the extra mile” for the success of his clients.  It may surprise you.
