Inbound marketing is a revolutionary online marketing system to generate leads and clients. But does it work? Here’s the definitive answer.
Inbound marketing is being touted as the new, best way to increase online leads, sales and revenue for businesses of all sizes.
More and more companies are using it.
But does it work? Not just anecdotally, but in a statistically verifiable way?
Here’s what I found
About a year ago, I learned about “the inbound market methodology” especially as it is taught by Hubspot.
As I learned about how it worked, I was quite impressed, to say the least. The system made total sense… and the results were measurable, and improvable.
I signed up right away.
Then, the more companies I came across that were using it effectively, the more the results were totally impressive.
Note: Like a treadmill, one key to making the inbound marketing system work well is doing it consistently, and doing it properly. Unless you can commit 10-20 hours a week to doing the system appropriately, you are better off hiring a inbound marketing agency (like 2nd Mile Marketing) to guide and oversee the process.
These numbers don’t lie
Still, I only had a total sample of a dozen companies that were seeing success using inbound marketing. Not a very big sample to say unequivocally that inbound marketing works.
Thankfully, several months ago, Hubspot analyzed the 4000 businesses on their software.
They looked at who was consistently and effectively doing the proper activities and compared them to the companies that weren’t.
The results were startling.
Watch the video below to see what Hubspot discovered.
Pretty amazing statistics, huh?
